Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If something is weighing on you — anxiety, low mood, a life change, or just a sense that things could be better — that's reason enough. Reaching out is an easy, no-pressure way to find out — I'm happy to answer questions before you schedule.

Do you work with teens?

Yes — teens 14 and up, and adults. For teen clients, I partner with parents while protecting your teen's privacy and trust.

Do you take insurance?

I'm private pay at this time and provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. See the Fees & Insurance page for details.

Where do sessions happen?

Virtually, anywhere in Virginia, via secure video. In-person sessions in Loudoun County are coming soon.

What happens in the first session?

We talk about what brought you in, what you'd like to be different, and any questions you have. It's a conversation — not an interrogation — and you only share what you're ready to.

How long does therapy take?

It depends on you and your goals. Some clients feel meaningful relief in a few months; others value longer-term support. We'll check in on progress together, regularly.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes, with a few legal exceptions related to safety, which I'll explain clearly in our first session.

Still have questions?

I'm happy to answer anything before you schedule. Reaching out is easy and no-pressure.
