About Felicia
Experienced, down-to-earth therapy — with a door that's open for you.
My story
I became a social worker because I believe no one should have to face life's hardest moments alone. Over the course of my career, I've served as Director of Social Services at a rehabilitation center, as a social worker with Fairfax County, and as a Behavioral Health Therapist with Inova Health System, one of Virginia's largest health networks, supporting people through illness, loss, caregiving, family change, and some of life's most difficult seasons.
Along the way, I've also poured into this community: coordinating Meals on Wheels for Fairfax County, volunteering with local families through the Young Men's Service League, and staying active in our schools here in South Riding.
All of it has taught me something simple: people don't need to be fixed. They need to be heard, understood, and given the tools and support to heal. That belief is at the heart of how I practice. Opening my own practice is the natural next step: a chance to offer the kind of unhurried, personal care that big systems rarely allow.
How I work
My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I draw on two evidence-based frameworks and shape them around you: your story, your strengths, your goals.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you identify the thought patterns driving anxiety, depression, or avoidance, and build practical skills to change them. It's structured, goal-oriented, and grounded in decades of clinical research.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) blends cognitive strategies with mindfulness and emotional regulation skills. It's especially effective for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and building distress tolerance.
I work with teens and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, and life transitions, with deep experience supporting people through medical challenges, caregiving stress, and family change. Sessions with me are a judgment-free space. You can bring the things you've never said out loud. We'll go at your pace.

Rooted in this community
Loudoun County isn't just where I work — it's home. I've coordinated Meals on Wheels for Fairfax County, served as VP of Philanthropy for the Young Men's Service League, and volunteered with the Freedom High School PTSA in South Riding. I care about this community because I'm part of it.
